This event will be judged by alumni, Communication faculty, the Comm Week Team, and other professionals.
Here's what you get out of it:
- An opportunity to connect with alumni (who are potential future employers)
- A chance to grow your presentation skills
- Valuable feedback from professors and professionals
- An opportunity to win and get recognized at the Comm Week banquet that follows
- A forum to show off your creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinkings skills
Why do we call it a 3X3X3? Well, it is split into three parts:
- First, a slide show comprised of a title slide, three content-related slides, and a references slide. Five slides in total are allowed.
- Second, a three-minute video presentation (unedited). Your group may condense your presentation down in any way you see fit.
- Third, a Q&A to allow for judges to ask questions about the presentation. Judging criteria includes professionalism, creativity, critical thinking, presentation style, and preparedness for Q&A.
The rules of this contest are as follows:
- Conduct yourself and dress professionally, just like you would in a classroom project.
- Groups must submit a photo of themselves next to their title slide in their professional attire for reference.
- No video editing is allowed.
- The presentation time limit is a strict three minutes.
You can sign up now by emailing UWGBCOMMWEEK@GMAIL.com. Spots are limited.
